Administrative / Board-Directed Psychiatric Evaluations

Policy Regarding Administrative & Board-Directed Evaluations

This service involves a third-party directed psychiatric evaluation, which may be requested by or submitted to a licensing board, employer, federal agency (e.g., FAA), or other regulatory organization.

In this setting:

  • The evaluation is conducted in an independent and objective capacity

  • Findings may be submitted directly to the requesting entity when required

  • The evaluating physician does not act as an advocate for the individual

Individuals are responsible for confirming that an independent evaluation is appropriate for their situation. Some organizations require evaluation by designated or pre-approved evaluators, and acceptance of an independent evaluation is not guaranteed.

Fees are based on the time, complexity, and administrative requirements of the evaluation and are not contingent on outcome or third-party acceptance.

Important Notice

If you are seeking a general consultation or personal expert opinion for your own use (without direct involvement of a board, employer, or regulatory body), please review our Expert Opinion / Consultation services page, which may be more appropriate for your needs.
